Cocoa Butter Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are essentially scars on the skin that are caused by the tearing of the middle layers of the skin tissue. The scars are red or pinkish when they first appear, but over time, as they diminish, the scars can turn into a lighter cream or white color. Cocoa butter stretch marks can be further diminished with certain natural and synthetic remedies. However, in order to correctly treat the stretch marks one must know a little bit more about them.

In general, what causes stretch marks is the rapid stretching of the skin and this usually occurs during stages of fast growth where the skin cannot fully accommodate growing muscles and bones and is therefore torn. The most common and frequently occurring stretch marks are during pregnancy when the belly grows comparatively quickly. Usually women have more stretch marks than men because their skin is softer and has more layers of superficial fat tissue which is easily destroyed.

Anywhere between 75% – 90% of women, by the time they are in their mid twenties, have stretch marks. These usually appear on the thighs, belly, and or breasts. These areas are generally more affected because there is more fat stores in these parts of the body. For this reason, the cosmetic and medical world puts a lot of money into researching and finding ways to diminish or totally get rid of stretch marks. Many women find that the natural remedies tackle the underlying causes of what causes stretch marks more readily than medicinal treatments and over time a majority find that their stretch marks diminished if not completely disappeared.

As mentioned above, cocoa butter stretch marks are best treatable with cocoa butter. One can find the white solid butter at room temperature anywhere from organic grocery stores to online stores. Many women, and men, who try cocoa butter on their stretch marks find that over a longer period of time such as several months the scars start to become fainter. The cocoa butter is generally good for skin and many users note not just diminishing of the stretch marks but also improvement of their skin overall.

What causes stretch marks more than anything else is fat stores under the superficial layers of the skin. Fat cells and tissues are easily torn and therefore make skin susceptible to stretching. Many people find that with weight loss the stretch marks become less noticeable and that they stop getting any more stretch marks. In other words, decreasing the percentage of fat on the body overall, decreases not only the current stretch marks but prevents future ones from appearing.

In addition to cocoa butter and exercise many people find that emu oil is also very helpful. This oil is obtained from the back fat of an Australian bird and has been found to have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It has also been shown to be incredibly effective against stretch marks. People find that their scars disappear completely within a couple months of consistent usage. And of course, the oil itself is very good for dry, itchy or irritated skin.

In combination with cocoa butter stretch marks can be treated with emu oil, exercise and a healthy diet high in fiber and protein. Although sometimes these scars may seem impossible to get rid of, many men and women have found that with dedication to the cause they have been able to not only diminish but completely get rid of many of their most visible stretch marks.
